Khalid Pathan | 12 years ago | Reply Nothing new, It has been going on for the last thirty years in Sindh, the difference is that it has now engulfed our entire education system from secondary to the highest level, in every nook and corner of Pakistan, though with some exceptions. The winner is the influential class whose kids get the top positions in our civil service. On top of that the quota system and lateral entry into Superior Civil Services promoted incompetency and corruption at all levels in every institution. The standard of education has gone down so low and for such a long time that the very survival of Pakistan is in grave danger. This system has left no chance for hard working, honest and competent people of integrity from middle or lower middle class to be part of our Civil Service, It has only ensured a successful future for elite of this country. This system helps breed contempt, frustration and hate on linguistic and provincial ground. Our Apex court if interested in Pakistan's future must conduct a high powered judicial inquiry "Suo moto", into this failed education system which is leading Pakistan to failure. Such an inquiry must take submissions from overseas Pakistani's especially those who were once part of this system of education.
