Memogate: RIM database records information for last 90 days only
The judicial commission probing the memogate scandal had asked Haqqani to write a letter of consent to RIM, allowing them to access his account to extract records of his conversations with Ijaz, the self-proclaimed whistle-blower of the Memogate scandal.
“Yes, Haqqani has formally written to RIM to waive his privacy in compliance with the commission’s orders,” Zahid Bukhari, the attorney for Haqqani, had told The Express Tribune.
He said his client has given full authority to RIM to email the data either to him (Haqqani) or to his email account, since RIM’s policy forbids sending data to a third party.
Commission rejects Haqqani's adjournment application
The Judicial Commission had also rejected Haqqani’s adjournment application. The commission further directed the government to ascertain a list of his property details and submit it before the court by April 26.

Everybody but our learned judges and generals knew that it is a waste of time and RIM is not going to entertain their demands. However they went whole nine yards to waste time, money and national reputation by making the country a laughing stock. The courts are doing exactly the same with the letter to Swiss court. They are only going to laugh and ignore it. Like the cautious said above the courts wanted these (HH, PM, etc.) to grovel and bow down before the PCO judges, nothing more than that but at what cost?
Mansoor Ijaz's BB has all the information as to what he sent to and received from Haqani. What more is needed?
@sunder kahn : your logic seems to be flawed. The incident happened in May 2011. The formation of the Commission and the inquiry into BBM messages came way after the 90 day expiry period. Thus even if the Commission on the first day of its commencement into the issue had asked for a record of the messages from RIM, the 90 day period had well been passed. Blaming such acts, which could not possibly have been intended by Haqqani, on Mr. Haqqani shows that you either are not well versed with the facts of the case, or you are just a critic of the government without any logical arguments. Mr. Haqqani served our country very well and you should be proud of his services and not take Mr. Ijaz's words (whose character is highly questionable) over his. Time to realise who really are guilty and absolve the innocent of frivolous accusations.

Haqqani had intentionally delayed his letter to RIM because he knew that it will not be available after a certain period.
We are excellent at wasting our time.
What amazes me is that any prosecutor could have contacted RIM and discovered it's policies with a simple phone call --- like every Pakistani Commission this one seems bent on dragging things out forever after everyone knows the outcome. They have insufficient evidence to convict Haqqani and he's not stupid enough to provide them with the rope to hang himself - the best they can do is hit him with something punitive for not groveling sufficiently before the Commission. It's like a bad soap opera -- time to move on.
