New beginnings: FUUAST to get pharmacy institute soon

KARACHI: On Monday, a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the Jamlana Institute of Pharmacy was held at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology’s (FUUAST) Gulshan-e-Iqbal campus. The university’s vice chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Qasier hosted the event and welcomed the chairman of the Geofman Group of Companies, SM Saboor, as chief guest. According to the Dr Qaiser, the institute was being built at a cost of Rs400 million and was funded by the Geofman group. He said that a hospital would also be set up to provide free medical facilities to university staff and their families.
