Rugby: Lahore clinches Super 10s event

LRFC was given a tough time in the final but managed a convincing win in the end.

Lahore Rugby Football Club (LRFC) won the Lums Super 10s Rugby Championship in Lahore by thrashing Rising Sun 17-5. Despite being favourites, LRFC was given a tough time in the final but managed a convincing win in the end. Earlier, in the first semi-final, LRFC beat Gladiators 5-0 whereas in the second semi-final Rising Sun thrashed Sindh Rugby Club 20-0. Gladiators won the third position play-off match against Sindh 24-0. Pakistan Rugby Union President Fawzi Kawaja distributed the cup and medals in the closing ceremony.
