Squash: Bokhari faces Gaskin in final

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Ali Bokhari, the world number 313, has advanced into the final of the QSF PSA Challenger event where he will face Ireland’s world number 216 Arthur Gaskin in Doha, Qatar. The 16-year-old Bokhari defeated Kuwait’s Mohammad Yaquop Hajeyah 3-1 in the semi-final with frame scores of 4-11, 11-7, 11-8 and 11-4. In the first round, Bokhari had to fight hard against compatriot Khawaja Adil Maqobool in a five-set thriller but eventually won 3-2 with a 12-14, 11-7, 11-2, 5-11 and 11-6 win. In his last-eight match, he fended off the challenge from Kuwait’s Fallah Mohammad and won 3-1 with 9-11, 11-7, 18-16 and 11-8.
