LAHORE: An application was filed in the Lahore High Court on Friday against the government’s alleged failure to take concrete precautionary measures to avoid an outbreak of dengue in the city. The petitioner, Advocate Azhar Siddique, moved a civil miscellaneous application in a petition pending in the court regarding the outbreak of dengue fever last year. The petitioner contends that a dengue outbreak might occur at any moment as the government has not taken adequate steps to prevent it. He said that if timely action was not taken a large number of people could lose their lives. He prayed to the court to direct the government to take concrete measure to avoid an outbreak.
