Balochistan security case: SC summons establishment secretary

ISLAMABAD: Hearing a case on the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday summoned the Establishment Secretary on an immediate notice.

During the hearing at the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, irked by the absence of the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, said, "Why don't we just suspend the IG Balochistan and the concerned superintendent of police?"

Three missing persons, who were recovered by the police, were presented before the court.

The court ordered that the recovered men be release immediately and sent home. The court has summoned IG Balochistan on Friday.

Chief Justice Chaudhry said that despite taking notice of the current crisis in Balochistan, up to seven people have died. He said that Balochistan is on fire, facts have been concealed and the people have made a mockery of the law.

The court also rejected the statements presented by the Advocate General Balochistan.

Chief justice of Pakistan is really playing cool, the ever nasty bureaucracy is playing games but this time its seems that again i would say it seems that CJ will sort them out. Definitely, there is a requirement of straightening out his own department of justice as the lower courts are still places of misery and corruption. Allegedly it is said again i will say allegedly it is said that don;t go for costly lawyer just pay to the judge. I don't believe this but some wizard said that "if there is a smoke there might be fire". CJ is requested to look under his shadow and rectify the mistakes, it will really elevate his stature in the eyes of common man who is wailing for justice. The Baluchistan is a bigger task then Karachi , CJ visit and notice seems to be going in vain. He has listened to all Parties in Karachi and Baluchistan , now its time to act and pass the verdict which is a thing missing in all sou motto notices.
