PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court, which has been actively contributing towards the cause of curbing polio resurgence in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas, has launched an official appeal urging residents to vaccinate children.

PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan made the appeal, asking residents of the region to administer polio drops to their children to secure them against the crippling disease so that they, being future builders of the nation, can play their role in the country’s development.

The PHC has also been planning to hold a ceremony at court premises where children will be administered polio drops. Sources said that a sample of banners, inscribed with the chief justice’s appeal, has been prepared to be displayed at the offices of bar associations of all sub-districts, districts and high courts as all court benches in the province.
