Road accident: Three of a family die in Upper Dir

Driver lost control near Kasai and plunged the van into a deep ravine.

TIMERGARA: Three people of one family lost their lives and 11 others sustained injuries when a pickup van loaded with passengers plunged into ravine Kasai, in Upper Dir on Sunday.

Sources told The Express Tribune that a pickup van loaded with passengers from Rodarra was headed towards Akhgram bazaar when the driver lost control near Kasai and plunged the van into a deep ravine.

A person named Islam, his mother and a girl all belonging to one family died while Qadir Khan, Aijaz Ullah, Muhammad Aziz, Naseeb Khan, Farid Ullah, Waheedullah ,Madoullah, Sadiqullah, Rahmanullah, Naseeb’s wife and Mohammad’s wife, sustained injuries. All the injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Timergara where doctors said three of them were in critical condition.
