Fertiliser: New technique developed

Scientists have developed a new technique for application of fertiliser to crops.

Scientists of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) have developed a new technique for application of fertiliser to crops that will substantially enhance agricultural production.

Talking to The Express Tribune on Monday, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad said a chain of call centres had been established in Punjab to provide expert opinion for farmers about balanced use of fertiliser.

Ahmad revealed that the scientists had developed comprehensive software for site-specific recommendations and dissemination through CDs and access to web.
