
Pakistan Red Crescent Society’s (PRCS) focus is not only on the survival of disaster victims but also to mitigate their unwanted hardships, said a press release issued in Islamabad on Sunday.
This was said by the society’s chairperson, Maj General (retd) Ch Muhammad Nawaz, to the participants of the 4th National Youth & Volunteer Camp.
The camp is being attended by volunteers from the four provinces, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. During the camp, they will share experiences, exchange ideas and opinions and discusses cultural perspectives.
The theme of this year’s camp is “Promotion of Social Inclusion, Safe Living and Culture of Non-Violence and Peace”.
The volunteers will attend training sessions on disaster preparedness and emergency response during the camp.
