Domestic violence: Woman hospitalised

FIR registered stated that she was set on fire by her husband over a domestic dispute about three weeks ago.

FAISALABAD: A woman was hospitalised on Friday with burn injuries over 60 per cent of her body. An FIR registered on complaint of her brother stated that she was set on fire by her husband over a domestic dispute about three weeks ago. She had since been detained at the house until on Friday when the complainant visited her and took her to Allied Hospital.  Dr Muhammad Jameel who treated the woman at the hospital described her condition as critical. He said over 60 per cent of her body was burned. Nishatabad police station said a raiding team had been formed to arrest the suspect, Aqeel Butt, a resident of Gokhuwal.
