AHMADPUR EAST:

The Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) willl bring revolution in the Bahawalpur region, said JUI-F Punjab spokesman Maulana Noman Hassan Ludhianvi and local leader Qari Saifur Rehman Rashadi said on Thursday. Addressing a press conference, they said pro- Bahawalpur province candidates will win seats in the next general elections since most people supported the Bahawalpur province irrespective of political affiliations.

They announced that the JUI-F would warmly welcome BNAP Chief Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi, ex- Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani and other leaders during their visits to Khanbela, Liaquatpur and Rahimyar Khan. They claimed that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani was creating mistrust between the different nationalities living in South Punjab by calling for a Saraiki province. They claimed that the JUI-F backed the demand to restore the former Bahawalpur province and create the province of South Punjab on administrative grounds. Meanwhile, BNAP Chief Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi arrived at Sadiqgarh Palace in Dera Nawab Sahib from Islamabad. He chaired a BNAP meeting in the party’s city secretariat in Bahawalpur and reviewed the BNAP membership campaign. He is scheduled to address a public meeting in Rahim Yar Khan on April 13 with PML-F Punjab President Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood.
