Imran Khan calls for judicial inquiry into Gilgit-Baltistan violence
The PTI Chairman expressed his deep sorrow for the bereaved families, offering condolences and prayers. He also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
He added that the PTI strongly condemns all acts of sectarian violence and said that if PTI came to power it will work to unite all sects, promote peace and harmony in the country.
Khan said that the tragic incident speaks volumes of the bad governance and failure of the government to bring the law and order situation under control.
“Since this government came into power there has been a considerable escalation in the frequency and intensity of incidents of sectarian violence. It is a matter of great concern for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to see that Gilgit region which was once a peaceful area, has continually witnessed sectarian violence under the current government,” he said.
He urged the government to take concrete steps in order to improve the law and order situation of the region on an urgent basis.

IK don't kid yourself, just do what you are doing!!! The world knows where your sympathies lie. This is not only for you, but for all the politicians who are trying to do POLITICAL GOAL SCORING by making use of this sensitive issue. If all of you sympathizers of GB wanna do something for her just don't degrade her more, GB is already in much of a trouble!!! If you people mind your own business GB will be THE HEAVEN ON EARTH once again!!!

@amin: @Falcon At long last...with due permission from DPC & AABPARA :) And Charity must begin at home, if PTI is against sectarian violence then it should renounce its links with all the sectarian outfits....which though is a far cry...let there be another DPC and IK's personal message with official messenger will be there :)

When the chairman of current ruling party didnt hesitate to sow the seeds of hate among provinces in his speech then how can we expect that government to sole the issues of sectarian violence? When the interior minister calls death by shot a normal death how can they resolve such serious issues? PPP government is recipe of disaster for Pakistan no matter if its governance, Administration, Peace, economy or foreign affairs they are simply Incompetent to handle anything regarding Pakistan. Yes may be supreme court is the only option left and when SC will take a step in then Zardari in his speech will criticize SC for interference in the affairs of government.
You are right Mr. Imran but parties in government are not supporting judiciary on any important national matter. They get the benefit of sectarian violence and this keep people away from real issues.
This would seem to be an investigation the government would undertake and not the courts. Would someone please explain the reasoning behind this.,
What judicial inquiry??? just get rid of your prejudices against other faiths in Islam, respect indigenous cultures, nurture humanity and consider people of GB equal citizens of Pakistan, stop systematic genocide, give us equal political and human rights, things will be ok.
