Petroleum Prices: Baloch traders protest against hike
Say increase in fuel prices would affect prices of all other essential commodities causing high inflation in country.
QUETTA:
Balochistan Traders Association (BTA) staged a demonstration in Quetta on Wednesday condemning the hike in petroleum prices. Scores of BTA members led by President Abdul Rahim Kakar staged the protest at Mezan Chowk and chanted anti-government slogans for its failure to provide relief to the public. The protesters said the increase in fuel prices would affect the prices of all other essential commodities causing high inflation in the country. Addressing the protesters BTA leaders rejected the rise, saying the recent increase in petroleum price is unjust. “The petroleum products have been increased by 50 per cent during the past four years,” they claimed.
