Missing prisoner: Another application filed in Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: Another application was filed in the Supreme Court (SC) for the recovery of a missing prisoner on Wednesday.

The petitioner alleged that Jamshed Raza, age 53 was abducted by the officials of secret agencies from Bhawalpur Jail.

Tariq Asad, the counsel for Raza’s relatives prayed to the court to take up this issue along with the 11 missing prisoners’ case of Adiala Jail as the matter was similar in nature.

Raza was one of the suspects in a case regarding the attempt to murder former president Pervez Musharraf.

In the petition, Asad said that a weak FIR was registered for the abduction and the culprits’ names were not included in it. The petition further stated that Raza was acquitted of all charges levelled against him but was abducted outside the jail by officials of secret agencies.

Missing prisoners in PAK shocking. And Dawa is going on in their editorial pages about the CIA’s rendition program and seems to ignore what is happening in PAK. Then this is so common in PAK that it really is not news.

No matter how many application filed with so called free and fair judiciary, who will not stop wagging before agencies and establishment. Supreme court has taken up the cases after four years because they have to built their credibility before disqualifying a serving PM in contempt of course. Missing person and, mehran bank scandal will remain undecided. If they would have been associated with PPP would be decided with in weeks. justice will not be delivered, it will be delayed just to hang the matter.
