The Supreme Court took notice of the murder of a woman in the province, and directed the police to submit a report in this regard.
Heading a three-member larger bench, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked the Balochistan advocate general about the number of missing persons in the province district-wise, and whether any case had been taken up.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the government writ seems to be missing and questioned who was responsible.
During the hearing, the Balochistan advocate general submitted a report on the steps taken to improve law and order situation and measures taken to protect people in the province.
The advocate general told the court that 204 bodied have been recovered in Balochistan, whereas 80 people have been kidnapped.
The chief justice further said that the situation is forcing people to migrate; and when they leave, they are forced off buses and killed.
He said there was so governance in the province and added that either people do not know what’s going on, or have chosen to remain silent.
The court adjourned the hearing till April 5.

What is holding the military to impose curfew. They could have prevented the damage and saved lives. Balochistan has no cure other than military rule and curfew. The civillian government has failed miserably and the sooner they realize this, the better.
It is of no surprise the CJ(Pakistan's Tekhadar) did not mention the systematic killing of hazaras even once.
It is time pakistanis found a patriotic and strong leader to save it.
Yeah, judiciary has played its constructive role well over the years, be it in ousting President Musharraf or sentencing ZAB to death. I agree with Umer, Pakistan needs to cut down the costs and expenses and having no judiciary will be as good as having the current one. We can spend that money on education, energy sector or health. Oh, who am i kidding? Of course, we will spend it on the army!
Does that mean we do not need courts and judges anymore as they are unable to do anything about it? Imagine how much saving that would be.
Who is safe in Pakistan??? only ruling elite.. and Mr. Rehman Malik. What a government PPP had in its tenure. Our ignorant people will again bring them to destroy what is left of Pakistan.
are u ready to play ur role? even its not too late
After reading this statement from the CJ himself about Baluchistan, I can only recite Inna lillah for this unfortunate province.
