PCNS meets in Islamabad: Awan out, Kaira in
Sources have said that the decision was taken on Friday night. It has been said that the PPP leader is facing isolation because he refused to appear before the court to record a statement in favour of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in the contempt hearing against him.
The committee is meeting today to review its recommendations on Pakistan-US relations and foreign policy. They will meet on a day-to-day basis till April 5.
The Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), which drafted a 40-point proposal on terms of reengagement with the United States, is now considering a key opposition demand – to link the resumption of Nato supplies with a halt to drone strikes in tribal regions.
PPP representation in the committee is Raza Rabbani, Naveed Qamar and Qamar Zaman Qaira, while the PML-N representatives are Ishaq Dar and Mehtab Abbasi. Other parties who are part of the committee are JUI-F, MQM and ANP.

@Mehran: I agree with you. Democracy is a sieving process and in every election some people fall down while some stay put. After a few consecutive elections the governance would dramatically improve. This is the main reason the rightwing losers hate democracy and want to stop the democratic process at all costs. These are the people who never can win a national election and only use backdoor to power. Nice to see opportunists are being sidelined by the PPP while they are joining the other parties. Let us have faith and trust in Pakistani electorate who are going to make better and better decisions with each election. Regards, Mirza
@Mehran: PPP always back off when, needs some kind of consensus and PMLN who calls itself champion of judiciary, must be having reservations,only that will be the reason.

It means PPP is evolving and gradually opportunist and imported leaders are filtering out from mainstream PPP leadership. PPP should have some Accountability system within party to counter check the activities of their party leaders and workers, through such body, they can have quick evolution and corrupt and opportunists will be identified easily and PPP could achieve better public image.

He is a known opportunist. He distributed sweets on the hanging of Bhutto, how sad it is that he is the vice president of PPP. He will quickly switch side where he will see that he has more benefits. PPP has been hijacked by such people with the help of Zardari since the loyal people would not have allowed the mass level corruption and the drain of country's resources. Bye Bye Babar Awan
