KARACHI: The 60th Earth Hour will be celebrated today, as people will switch off lights and other electrical appliances from 8.30 to 9:30 pm. Earth Hour ambassadors Aisamul Haq, Nadia Hussain, Fawad Khan, Faisal Qureshi, Myra Khan, Shahzad Roy and Bushra Ansari will also be present to mark the occasion. The event is organised every year by the World Wide Fund for Nature, to emphasise adoption of measures that cut carbon dioxide emissions and reduce the harmful effects of global warming.
