Shooting: Army clinches national championship

Army claimed top position after finishing with nine medals at the National Open Clay Championships.

KARACHI: Army claimed top position after finishing with nine medals at the National Open Clay Championships that concluded in Islamabad yesterday. The winners captured four gold, two silver and three bronze medals to win the event, followed by Navy who won two gold and three silver medals. Punjab Rifle Association secured third position with two bronze medals.  Army won two gold, one silver and a bronze medal in the double trap event on the final day of the event. Army’s Col Sakhawat Ali was declared the best shooter of the championships.
