Bin Laden informer: Dr Shakil Afridi sacked
The health department issued a notification in this regard, which said that Afridi has been terminated under the Efficiency & Disciplinary (E&D) Rules for being involved in anti-state activities.
Prior to this 15 lady health workers who were part of the vaccination campaign were also terminated from their jobs.
Last year, British newspaper The Guardian reported that the CIA launched a fake vaccination drive in Abbottabad to gather the DNA information of Bin Laden’s family. It said that Khyber Agency Surgeon Dr Afridi, under the pretext of a private polio vaccination campaign, launched a CIA programme to trace the al Qaeda leader in Abbottabad.
Action was initiated against him and some other provincial health department officials for running a fake polio vaccine campaign.

What more evidence do we need to prove that thePakistan government is OUR ENEMY . They are as guilty as Bin Ladin himself and should be treated as such.

You are attempting to open a can of of worms. Who all were awarded chunks of land before 1947? Why were people awarded knighthood before 1947? Why were Sardars, Maliks and whatnot paid by the Raj in FATA and Balochistan by the agents? Why is this system of "payment" continuing in some form or the other, even today? How can huge chunks of land be awarded to militarymen, a practice abandoned by Moghals? How can the ruling elite buy huge properties in places around the globe? How can so many transfer enormous amounts in their Swiss or offshore accounts?
This is an unending list. If it is true that Shakil Afridi's daddy got a piece of land are you really saying that all these flag waving Pakis who have taken oath by placing their hands on the Holy Book, to serve the nation, should be questioned? Even Dr Mirza wowed that he was behind Amn Committee. Do you doubt him?
Please do not question their deeds, many of them have done Umrah and Hajj many times over. Let their secrets be in he the hands of God.
What has Osama Bin Laden given you or, for that matter, Pakistan? Can all those Pakistanis who support him please explain their position to the rest of us who trying hard to understand this blind faith? Just because he was anti-Western, you just followed him like the Pied Piper who led the mice to their deaths! And, please explain to me why, if you hate the USA or UK or France,etc, why do you buy their goods? Why is there KFC in Pakistan? Why is there McDonald in Pakistan? Why do watch their films? Why are droves of Pakistanis on Facebook? Why in the world do you beg aid from these countries? Why do your elite travel to New York or London or Paris every now and then? Why do your children study there? Why do try your utmost to emigrate to the West? Why are so many Pakistanis claiming asylum in UK, USA, or France, or Italy? And the strangest paradox of all, when some of more educated class speaks English, it sounds very close to an American accent? Why all this if you hate the West so much? Why not call a spade a spade? If they are destroying your society, if they are so anti-islamic, if their women appear so obnoxious to you, if they really killing your people, why not chuck everything "Western" out of the window? I will tell you why! Because you all are HYPOCRITES! Say one thing, but, do something else, isn't it? Whether you admit this or not, in the wider world, being a Pakistani nowadays means fanatics, intolerant, extremist, and hypocrites!
Its a shame to know people are calling him traitor. He was helping to catch the most wanted man in the world. Whereas, Pak intelligence forces/government/establishment were sleeping or turned a blind eye, it was their job to apprehend OBL. Felt pity and disgusted to know the mindset of the people and top brass. He should be released from detention. Why the heck OBL was important to anyone in Pakistan? it was he who shattered the image of our country along with his followers.
How much was the reward on assisting in Bil Laden's capture. I wish such traitors never get to enjoy what he was hoping for....

Probably he knew that polio vaccination does not involve collection of DNA samples (which could be a piece of a hair, a dried body fluid on a cloth or any other material, a layer of skin, samples of blood and other forms of body fluids) For this he must have been paid handsomely.Literally this can be an act of indiscipline per their service book and department is empowered to terminate his services. But considering the services he extended in detecting Laden he deserves an Award by all such countries at least who are under the threat of terrorism. Pakistan Gov't is also taking billions of dollars to fight terrorism and also to trace Osama Bin Laden but it is ironic that establishment is punishing the Doctor. Gov't has also seized his assets and he runs the risk of being assassinated by any Islamic radicalist. Moreover considering the vote bank in ensuing election Doctor may not be allowed to leave Pakistan despite world wide condemnation on it. His fate will depend on the future course of US - Pak relations.
How about the Pakistanis who provided airbases and supply routes to USA? By this argument, shouldn't they also be tried for treason?
Pakistani’s who provide intelligence for drone is getting promoted and those provide intelligence on anti humanity get sacked. No wonder every terror attack in the world (France, US, UK, Iran, USSR, China, India, Chile etc) has Pakistani connection.
People in Pakistan are most of the time get caught in supporting wrong side than rest of the world. Examples are support for AQ Khan and his proliferation, support for OBL, Taliban rule in Afghanistan to name few. Can one call it a thinking error? Then people wonder why west discriminates against them.

After dismissal from service, Dr. Shakeel Afridi should be tried in the court of law according to the prevailing law of Pakistan and maximum punishment should be awarded to make him an example for others.

I will not comment on whether his actions that led to OBL were right or wrong, but I would surely hold him responsible for destroying the image of polio vaccination, for which there was already so much resentment in our country and now, no one would trust anti polio campaigns!
