Cricket: Gymkhana Stars win against Lions

PESHAWAR: Gymkhana Stars were off to flying start after recording victory against Peshawar Lions on the opening day of the 3rd Shah Jee Gold Cup Cricket Tournament which got underway at Gymkhana Cricket ground yesterday. Stars’ skipper Fazale Akbar won the toss and invited Peshawar Lions to bat. Lions could only manage 121 all out in 22.4 overs. In reply, Stars chased down the target for the loss of six wickets. For Lions, right-arm Zulfiqar took three wickets while Irfan, Muntazar and Aftab took one wicket each.
