MCC, has played its part in supporting Afghan cricket by helping provide pitches in the capital Kabul, organising fixtures against the national side and coaching players.
“I’m going to Afghanistan to look at Kabul and the cricket pitches we have put in,” MCC President Phillip Hodson told BBC. “Then I will go to Lahore as a private citizen. I think there’s much more chance of taking a team to Afghanistan than there is to Pakistan. I think we could do something in Afghanistan and I don’t think it will be long away.”

Afghans not Afghanis, get it right. We are not brothers, never were never will be.
why so much hate? we need to be united with afgani's strongly and firmly. they are our brothers LOL
Come on, Pakistanis, just let everyone say whatever they want to.... don't be panicked by these statements as everyone loves to see us frustrated and that's why they issues these kind of statements.......So I would ask you guys to ignore these kind of news and work hard for the betterment of our country. we have to maintain our Unity, Faith & Discipline to prosper.........Long Live Pakistan
@Abbas
Afghanistan is proving its decency by employing more than 80,000 Pakistani laborers in Afghanistan. Go to Kandahar or Kabul and you will see your brethren working in construction and earning more money there than they would at home.
You have to concede that Afghanistan will never see Pakistan in a positive light because of your support for the Taliban terrorists.
Good for Afghanistan!
@Truth Teller: What about Indians who blame ISI for everything?!
Looking at the readers comment, I think I am the "Crazy Guy" since I took the news item as pinch of salt with a dedication to improve the situation in Pakistan. Whereas almost all of the readers are in denial mode. Sub Thak Ha! Yes & yes most important RAW+CIA+KGB+MOSSAD Conspiracy. We are the BEST in the world!
Go there, Talibans are looking forward to receive you at the Airport :)
Let MCC heal their wonds along with their new borns in Kabul
This absolutely ridiculous, Afghanistan is THE most dangerous country in world after Somalia maybe.
Pakistan is much safer than Afghanistan, if it wasn't for those illegal Afghan immigrants then Pakistan would have been really safe and progressive.
Pakistan is also the 6th largest market in the world, they're going to miss out on some big money.
Oh boy what an irony ain'it. These headline my firend we are going to see more and more.
The reality is the world is turning us down and we.... ALAS, we are doing the same to ourselves. Verbally defending our country is good, that shows we are still patriotic and optimists but that alone would not solve the problem.
We need to go out and VOTE next time and the time after next and again. Until we get rid of our Honoured Elite.
Good step by the MCC for the promotion of the game. @ My Afghani friends: Maybe Afghanistan is safe enough for MCC now coz u guys r here in Pakistan? The Afghani government should further encourage MCC by exporting all afghanis to Pakistan n then it will be safe enough to even get England and Australia to play in Kabul.
MCC all the best, nothing wrong in swimming with the tide. U would ofcourse follow the policy fo ur masters. @Zalmai / Afghan Karachiite - do not forget 80s 90s, when v were supposedly your brothers. Now wid American dollars (which ofcourse won't last long) avoid such comments. wht ever Afghans have given to Pakistan in return of our hospitality is good enough to prove ur decency.
@Afghan Karachiite: why don't you go back?
Lol at the people going "they're ticked off because we beat them". Let's look at this with a cool head. In Afghanistan, the dangers are expected and the government there will do its level best to keep the players safe. In Pakistan, no one expected terrorists in the heart of a major city like Lahore and our authorities are too used to being slack, so they decided that "probably nothing will go wrong so let's sit back". It's a matter of holding up your end of an agreement.
Well chaps, this isn't England. It's an MCC team. Not quite the same thing. @plarkin
LOL. You Pakistanis will say anything out of frustration. I love your sense of patriotism you grab into every single matter that concerns your country. :-D
Comparing Afghanistan with Pakistan ... you got to be kidding me :@
We can loose to them 0-5 in ODIs in neutral venues.
We don't need to come to Pakistan, we just screwed you 3-0
Yeah go there when the Nato forces leave.
@Blithe
So much hate for Afghanistan. Afghans don't terrorize sportsmen or ordinary citizens, unlike Pakistan where everyday someone is victimized. I guess you just get on ET and start posting crap instead of reading the news. Read the news and accept that your country is racked by violence and nobody in the right mind wants to visit or play sports there.
We don't need England to tour Pakistan. We just beat them 3-0 at a neutral venue.
Ofcourse the area around Bagram Airbase and Kabul Palace is safe (or not?)
We can beat England 3-0 in tests in neutral venues. We don't really need you to come to Pakistan.
Stay in the "safe haven" of Afganistan. You and Afganistan deserve each other.
