LAHORE: In the aftermath of Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain's move to dissolve the party's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa wing, former provincial president Ameer Muqam announced on Wednesday that he will join Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) "soon".
He announced the decision in a meeting with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Raiwind.
Other PML-N members present included Shahbaz Sharif, Zafar Jhagra, Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi, Fareed Toofan and party’s K-P president Pir Sabir Shah. Muqam said that he will announce his decision at a press conference “soon” in Peshawar.
In the meeting, he briefed Nawaz about his reservations over Hussain’s decision to dissolve the K-P wing of the party, after which Nawaz formally offered him to become a member of PML-N.
Hussain had announced his decision after a consultative meeting with senior party leaders, including those from K-P on Tuesday. They had decided to form a temporary organising committee for three months.
Muqam had said that by successfully fighting elections against other provincial political rivals he had proven himself and that 98% of the PML-Q political workers of K-P were with him.
He added that the step taken by Hussain was against the constitution of the party.

Seeing his past record, there is no better place for the rotten eggs than to fall in the basket of PML N. Soon he will get a free laptop purchased from the exchequers money.

Very good decision by PTI by refusing to take Ameer Muqam..i think they can still do without him...and a very good decision by Ameer Muqam to join PML (N)...let the whole nation see the reality of PML (N) now...who are proudly accepting LOTAS :)

I read the news of rejection of Ameer Muqam by PTI core committee few days back and was really please with it. Take my words, soon you will see lots of Lottas running here and there to get into the party which they think is going to make government and this happens every time when elections are close by..

Why PTI rejected him???? Was he not better than KM Qasuri and other PML-Q leaders red carpitted by PTI???? Dont lash politicians who join other parties. Its the beauty of Democracy. Otherwise on these grounds Javed hashmi is the biggest LOTA. But I love him.
PTI should not reject people on the basis of their past affiliation, because in the past our whole system of black in all political parties , the main change for PTI is to give a new path to all the followers , because PTI can not call angles form sky , it has to let the people on earth….
