ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Fouzia Wahab said that the present government is taking steps for resolving the energy crisis in the country. She was talking to a private television channel. She said the PPP government should be given credit for luring investment in the Diamer-Bhasa dam and Thar coal project. “It is the responsibility of all members of society, including political parties, to play a role in the development and progress of the country,” she said. She said that PPP government took a number of steps after coming into power to steer the country out of different challenges. Responding to a question, she said that the two dams currently generating electricity for the country are not sufficient and there is a serious need to initiate more projects for meeting the growing demand of the energy.
