Blind Cricket: ‘Ageing players to be out of squad’

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) said that Abdul Razzaq will not be leading the team in the World Cup to be held in December at Bangalore, India. PBCC chairman and Senior Vice-President of the World Blind Cricket Council Syed Sultan Shah said Razzaq is not performing well and he will have to earn his name in the team now. Shah further said young players will be given priority while selecting the squad for the World Cup. “We won’t be including aging players in the team and instead young players will be given a chance,” said Sultan. Meanwhile, he also blamed the aging players and their physical fitness for the national team’s defeat against India.
