Football: Maradona advised Tevez to return

Diego Maradona advised Carlos Tevez to end his row with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and return to the club. “I told Tevez three months ago that he had to talk to Mancini as soon as possible,” said Maradona. “I said that because he was losing money and also because he needed to play football again.” Tevez went back to his homeland after refusing to warm-up and come on against Bayern Munich in September in the Champions League. After months of speculation over his future, he made a return to help City beat Chelsea 2-1, as he set up the winner for Samir Nasri. AGENCIES
