Sharif visited the residence of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) General Secretary Liaqat Baloch, where he condoled and offered fateha over the death of his mother.
Sharif while talking to the media, said that it was regrettable that the government’s way of dealing with the courts was of total defiance and warned that it was not acceptable for the people of Pakistan and his party. He said that the government, instead of implementing court rulings in Prime Minister Gilani’s case, was devising various plans on how to defy them.
Sharif said, “We will support the court’s ruling which the court is going to decide, and will definitely protest inside and outside the court house in this regard.”
Sharif lashed out at the PPP-led coalition government. He said that if the party defies the court ruling then its coalition partners will be equally responsible.
Sharif supported the people’s protests over load shedding, saying that it was their right to come out of their homes and protest. He said that his house too was facing 20-hour load shedding.
He alleged that Zardari’s government was fully involved in the corruption cases, adding that the government’s defiance and corruption are now its brand name.
When asked about PML-N’s point of view over recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, he replied that the party has called a formal meeting in Raiwind on Sunday where after contemplation they will present their point of view and would devise a strategy.
Talking about the Mehrangate Scandal, he said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had already conducted a press conference and presented their stance with details.
When asked if there was any possibility of an understanding between PML-N and Asif Ali Zardari, he replied that it was not possible because previously Zardari had backed out from all his contracts and commitments made with PML-N, dissolved the Punjab government, implemented governor rule and disqualified them from the courts.
He added that PML-N will contest the general election on issue basis.
JI’s Baloch said that they are calling an All Parties’ Conference (APC) and Difa-e-Pakistan Council held its public gathering in Balochistan, but the government is doing nothing in this regard.
Sharif seconded him and said that those who were once close allies of Pervez Musharraf and applauded his step of killing Akbar Bugti are now crying over the Balochistan issue. He said the coalition government comprises of Musharraf’s followers and even they did not submit their resignation when Musharraf killed Bugti.
According to party officials, Sharif’s stance over the defiance of court rulings stated that PML-N may start a movement against PPP-led coalition government with the agenda of three items: corruption, energy crisis and defiance of court rulings.

Mian Sahab your credibility has been lost mainly due to your own doings. My using wild rhetoric with little substance you are simply making matters worse for yourself. Your discomfort is clearly visible to both the PPP, the PTI and the people.
What will Nawaz sharif do when the court rules against him in the mehrangate scandal?
To all ppp fans if you believe zardari is innocent corruption is pakistan biggest problem why hasnt he said he will tackle corrutption surely his job is t deal with problem
@jabril , very well said .
Gilani's defiance to write the letter, a direct order of the Supreme Court is not defiance , then what is? Perhaps mastermind Nawaz can answer this.
