KARACHI: A former union council nazim from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Dr Shaikh Sultan, criticised the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for unfair billing practices on Friday. Sultan said that consumers in his area get bills that charge them for less units in one month, and an adjusted bill for the next month. This puts consumers at a disadvantage, as they have to pay for the extra units at higher tariff rates, claimed Sultan. Gas consumers in his area often receive one or two such bills every year, and that they have to pay additional charges because of no fault of their own.
