MANSEHRA:

A man whose wife was allegedly abducted last week has appealed to the chief justice of the Peshawar High Court for the recovery of his wife and minor son.

Muhammad Rafique of Hariyala village told newsmen on Friday that his wife Shabana Bibi was abducted by another villager Kashif about a month ago.

Kashif forcibly solemnised nikah with his wife in violation of Islamic injunctions and the laws in force.

According to Rafique, a case was registered against Kashif on his complaint and Shabana was later recovered by the Abbottabad police. Kashif was subsequently arrested.

“After the accused was freed, Kashif once again abducted my wife and also took my son Sameer with him last week, while I was out for work.”

Rafique approached the police and lodged a second FIR against the accused, but Kashif has not been arrested and his wife and son are still missing.

The complainant said that the accused has threatened to kill his son if he pursues the case.

Rafique has highlighted the need to recover his wife and son before the accused carries out his threat and harms his family.
