Imran was addressing a well attended rally in Sialkot on Friday.
The PTI Chairman further criticised PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, saying the Raiwand native could not “gather support of young people by giving away free laptops to them.”
“Nawaz, let it go; your turn is over,” he mocked.
Repeating his stance against corruption, Imran said he will bring forward “a match-winning team” which will transform Pakistan into the country envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam.
“PTI will stop the current 'Samjhauta Express' of corruption,” he added.
Praising local government system of pre-British India, Imran said PTI will introduce a similar system which will make people independent. “There will be no qabza group, no patwari and there will be in place a brilliant education, health and justice system,” Imran claimed.
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that all those who chose to join PTI will soon see their decision vindicated.
Qureshi said that the nation’s need for change and the current turmoil were resulting in greater support for the PTI.
“Today’s rally has proven that the tsunami was getting stronger and the only reason behind this is people’s lack of trust in the ruling parties,” Qureshi exclaimed.
Responding to the accusations by Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, PTI Punjab President Ahsan Rasheed mockingly asked whether people gathered for the rally were “brought here by the Army or the ISI.”
Rasheed also refuted the claim that former DG ISI Ahmed Shuja Pasha had ever backed PTI.
PTI President Javed Hashmi, Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood, Central Secretary General Dr Arif Alvi and other central, provincial and local leaders were also present at the rally.
According to sources, more than 50,000 people attended the rally.

imran kgan is great leader in pakistan
PML-N is not a polical party. It is a business party who is now making an investment in the form of Laptop and will start earnings after election if they win the election. This is the main reason that they do not resign from Government otherwise they will have to make an invesment from their own pocket. Allah save our country from these businessmen.
I also dream of better Pakistan where in the words of Quaid-e- Azam Muslims will cease to be muslims and hindus will cease to be hindus , not in the religious sense but in a sense that for the state both are equal. Can your Imran aka taliban khan deliver
PTI must start compane through cable operators own chanels at which they play CDs of movies and songs.... Expenses can be meet by local adds. PTI can play CDs of theis jalsaas, interviews, puplic opinions, menophesto, policies etc. People will watch that not Geo, ARY etc.
@Aley and all the others: The Quetta rally has been postponed due to severe cold there, something called 'Kandahari hawa' which blows from Kandahar. It has been rescheduled for APRIL 20 inshallah. so APRIL 20...chalo chalo QUETTA chalo
PTI should recognize the good governance is possible only in deregulated economies.
This paper is affiliated with new york times int company fact so that is why they r pro ppp because ppp serves the interest of washington while captain is a true nationalist
ik the king!
ik is only hope for pakistan
We have blind on great visionary leader IMRAN KHAN. don't worry if media is not properly cover the PTI Jalsa then we utilized the true use of Information Technology. we update and upload the Jalsa's (rallies) video and pictures.
Support PTI, VOTE PTI and SUPPORT IMRAN KHAN. yes togather we can do that.
I have a question for Imran Khan. In 2008, he boycotted elections because he felt that the Election Commission was not independent and it was not a free and fair election. He boycotted the by-election in Multan earlier this year because he felt, it was not free and fair. He has also repeatedly said, "Free and fair elections cannot be held if Zardari is in power." So what if Zardari stays until the election time, will Imran Khan stand by his 'principles' and boycott this election? I doubt it. And if he doesn't then he's not really sincere, is he?
@Khurra, Zia Khan but why Altaf Bhai Jalsa get news coverage in every headline, atleast they are telling people that today is jalsa
i was under the impression that ik had announced a gathering at Baluchistan on 23rd march?????????? what happened to that??
@Z.Khan: Sir nice suggestion , well noted, we are seeking your advice.
IK is the best choice.
Quetta rally will be in April, they delayed it because of the cold weather. IK Zindabad!
Always tall claims but zero political achievements of IK. PTI is Q League part-II. They want to bring change as Musharaf brought. Say no to secular change of Q League part-II.
Now is the time that people of Pakistan must stop being 'Jialas' and 'Janisaran' for shrifs, bhuttos and their cronies and start fighting for their own rights by voting against the corrupt political mafia and Imran Khan's PTI is the only option to vote for that change. My fellow citizens: Please grow-up and vote for the change we need against the current status-quo.
Imran khan sounds very much like rahul gandhi, too immature to understand politics all flights of fantasy sold to poor people, no one can end corruption in few days or months it takes years or decades of reforms and hard work.
You have given life to the nation and we will not let you down. The response will be tit for tat. We will stand by you during election and will show you results. We will support you with money and our efforts. Allah bless you Khan Sahib.
@xohaib hassan: Why only Nawaz??? It's because he had a pact with Zaradri. Him competing against Nawaz will divide the right vote bank.
I think IK is 'dyed-in-wool' Chamcha of ArmedForce just the way Nawaz (ex-IJI)once was!
Imran khan jalsa has proved that people of pakistan want a real change. i hope from Almighty Allah that beside the efforts of corrupt parties Imran ll win
@Rehman: "We must politely ask media for more coverage. It is same media which has given endless coverage to our Lahore and Karachi rallies"
That endless coverage was when Pasha was in charge. Do you still deny Pasha's support?
Thumb down to media for not giving coverage to PTI Jalsa in Sialkot. Feel like media took money from other ruling parties.
@ayesha azeem: "Media was unfair today".
Or perhaps for the first time it was fair -now that Pasha s gone. You are too used to the non-stop coverage you got during Pasha's time.
I really liked the comment about PPP and PML-N sharing power among family members. How very true! Those two parties have taken nepotism to new heights and are quite shameless about it.
Ch Allah Daad! Your eyes will open after the next general elections when 'the laptop brothers' will be ruined by people of Pakistan.Shame on Nawaz Sharif for holding a political convocation inside an educational institute, and that too using public money. If he is so popular, ask him to hold Jalsas in karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Mardan etc. Just ask Nawaz Sharif to hold any Jalsa outside Punjab.
Hey PTI friends, this jalsa you are celebrating was to take place in Quetta not Sialkot. What happened? Or is Sialkot new Quetta? Stop fooling around...'the dim' has nothing to say except taking pot shots at other party leaders..
If a channel shows an event, all channels follow the suit. same is the case when it does not want to cover an event. monotonous
I think media is not biased towards PTI but they changed strategy and are not willing to give uninterrupted coverage to rallys and jalsas of political parties.None of the private channel gave coverage to President of Pakitan's awards function held today at president house.PTI supporters who thought that PPP/PML (N) paid media to stop there coverage should please come out of this conspiracy theory mode.Media was maligned for giving excellent coverage to PTI in past.On part of media, today they did not cover two major events. So if they decided not to give coverage, then no person or party be given coverage.Lets see how things unfold in days to come
khan sab why only nawaz? why not all of those in hukoomat?
Imran Khan and his PTI is a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel. The media coverage is nil. While entire nation wanted to see this. Media is trying too hard to please the ruling mafia.
@Ch Allah dad...
dream on... your only chance to win the next election will be if PTI boycot..but this is not gonna happen...so just back up..and one in a thousand attended? how much is the population of sialkot if 100 thousand is one-thousandth of it? Laptop cannot buy the votes of the youth who are well aware of the change that PML(Laptop) has brought in the last 30 years...
Well done PTI...
Shameless media did not cover the whole jalsa: loser media
I know why this stupid media is biased towards PTI/IK because if he comes into power he will also put them into line as they all big media groups are also the biggest tax evaders and running their show without any accountability. The are more like NS and Zardari.........But IK will come into power despite all odds......my prayers are with him...
what is this guy up to?
I like imran khan.... the problem is that he is becoming more like others by making tall unpracticable claims... like finishing corruption in 19days (patwari system cant be just thron away like a trash...it will take time)...plus also read Prof. Parvez Hoodhboy had to say: http://tribune.com.pk/story/333558/education-the-ptis-false-promises-wont-help/
I was expecting PTI to conduct rally in Quetta on 23rd March.
Actually giving out laptops can get them support. Certainly not respectable support, but support nonetheless. It's a form of bribe like any other, and if bribes didn't work you wouldn't be having issues of corruption.
i believe that for the sake of better this time all pakistanis irrespective of their affiliations should vote for imran to see what he delivers for the nation in just minimum 3 months.
just saw videos of the jalsa it was amazing the energy was amazing i am amazed media didnt cover it properly
@ Ch Allah Dad: I am sorry you are not correct i am from Sialkot and at least 100 People including women attended this Jalsa from My area out of population of 800 people which is big number....Nobody was provided transportation so people went on their own so keep on making excuses to satisfy yourself as you are status co supporter but deep within yourself you understand that change has arrived.....Prepare yourself for the shock at least from Sialkot people hate Khawaja Asif
aaaah it was so so depressing to see no media coverage :-((
Well Done PTI.
Wasnt this supposed to be in Quetta? March 23 rally in Quetta?
I think PTI has done it again. We must politely ask media for more coverage. It is same media which has given endless coverage to our Lahore and Karachi rallies
I have enjoyed the coordination between Imran and the people there, they are responding every question Imran. He is the only leader.
Go Imran Go.
Eagerly waiting for announcement of Election date..
National Anthem, surely there is no need to rely on sources, be the witness! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cITPtMtA86E&feature=youtu.be
Eagerly waiting for Tsunami to reach Balochistan...IK is only hope for The people of Balochistan!!
strong textONE OF THE BIGGEST JALSA EVER
At least he dreams of better pakistan and not filling his bank account. He is for the people & of the people
Media was unfair today..
Media should finish now yellow journalism as it will harm country. This is a time for now or never and media should do justice with country and give true pictures otherwise country will have to face the connsequences. This is a good gathering without getting any support from MNA, MPA and Patwari.
Well with Gen Pasha gone, another thing to be noted is that the Imran Khan show was not telecast live from 3 to 9 pm, without any ad breaks, on all the channels. From 100% coverage to 2%, things have changed strangely
Long Live IK..
Best part is the look on the face of the 'liberals' on social media and normal media and here on ET. The envy in their words is evident.
they know their days are numbered.
@Tehreek-e-Insaf FATA: Have a sincere suggestion. Do not bully and spit on others. Just ask PTI Boss to concentrate on his agenda and try to convince the people for it. Out of very long experience I am telling you if silent and sleeping educated segment of Pak Society comes out to vote for PTI only then IK has chance. So concentrate on the methodolpgy to bring out this segment of society. If PTI left the matter to ongoing routine, then no chance and you all can be shocks and disppointments.
Media persons have been paid heavily by PPP/PML(N),in Pakistan everything is on sale,we have to go long way to pride being Pakistanis
Who wants change? I have loads of coins in my pocket..
Someone please tell Imran Khan its not his turn as well..he is has to queu up after Zardari, Ch Nisar, Altaf Hussein and Mian sahib
It's been more than two months since the 'shameless' Pakistani media has banked upon their 'one and only' mission of degrading, discouraging, defaming PTI. Today's gathering in Sialkot was a 'slap' on the brazen faces who vigorously spread the rumours that the 'Tsunami had died or dried.
Shame on you Pak media. Shame on you for your highly prejudiced attitude towards PTI, which in fact is towards the People of Pakistan
Thumbs up for IK!!!
Imran khan is the Next Ruler of Pakistan...
Like JI and other religious parties, PTI's members roam city to city with their leader. Only one out of thousand person from Sialkot is attending this rally..
PTI the only option to change
graet IK
Tsunami doesn't take this much time to get stronger, they should think about some other parallel now.
Imran's absence will be felt when he boycotts next election.
Love you Sialkot, it was overwhelming response from Sialkotians to their beloved leader
Well done Sialkoti brothers. On this note, PTI should also engage industrialists from Sialkot in policy making since industrialists are under-represented and feudals are over-represented in our political sphere.
Khan is a better option than Zardar, and Nawaz, but khan sb why u dont criticize PML Q, MQM, ANP for the support of corrupt Gov. although they are also looting with both hands
Beautiful picture!
love Ik love sialkot
Media must be fair in playing impartial role.
Loved the Jalsa, Love you Sialkoti brothers - Love PTI - Khan Sahab rocks - Pakistan Zindabad.. :)
Pti Membership Campaign 2012 !!!
Fact of the day is that there is no link in between Tehreek-e-Insaf and ISI, baseless, senseless, groundless and brainless allegations has been leveled by some particular quarters. on the other hand, Asgher Khan's petition, recently going on in the apex court has exposed the face of those, has been receiving money from Inter services Intelligence Agency. In fact, imran Khan has become icon of forthcoming change. Now, every one living in this country has come to the conclusion that prosperity of the country has been attributed to PTI leaders Imran Khan and more experienced leader namely,Javed Hashmi.
Pakistani Media, shame on you...
My party in my CITY, can't explain my emotions while in abroad :-(
"Samjhota Express": new term coined by Imran Khan for the Noora-Kushti of PML-N and PPP. Brilliant Kaptaan.
it was such a big rally !!! why didnt media show proper coverage
I suggest that now the PTI should start a campagin to let the people know - value of their votes - common people even do not go to polling station and cast their ballot. This is a onlyway a common man can bring change in the country. PTI must do this for the sake of the country.
With Pasha gone, today's historic Sialkot Jalsa should be an eye-opener for those who accused PTI of being backed by General Pasha. See the "Yateem (orphan) PTI" in action :)
At least he is better than, Zardari, Nawaz, Altaf and Asfand Yar wali, lets give him a try
Very Less media coverage and no support from News papers as well...What our media is doing for such rallies...Do it for crowd attending it...Please media
