Cash generation: LHCBA will apprise PM of low funds

LAHORE: The general house of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Thursday allowed its office bearers to approach the federal and provincial governments for grants. The house agreed that the elected representatives could tell the prime minister, the chief minister and the chief justice of Pakistan about the bar’s financial difficulties. LHCBA president Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry said, “The bar has invested Rs25.5 million in term deposit. This cannot be used as it is a source of regular income.”
