Liquor business: Four arrested in two raids

The raiding team seized 10 liter liquor from the suspects’ custody.

BAHAWALPUR: Four people were arrested in two incidents by Khairpur Tamewali police for manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages on Thursday. Mumtaz Jhabael and Javed were arrested in a raid at a distillery in Bhaelli village. The raiding team seized 10 liter liquor from the suspects’ custody. In another incident, Irshad and Yasin were arrested from a park with a stock of liquor bottles. Police said the raids were carried out in response to a number of complaints about the illegal activity in the area.
