@Salman: Don't say that Salman. Watching tears in their eyes broke my heart and made me teary eyed. Let's not be so insensitive. I am glad that my team won and wanted it. Some Pakistanis were supporting Bangladesh because frankly they worked very hard and you could see it on their faces that how much they wanted it. I did feel a little guilty honestly but that doesn't mean we didn't deserve it. We are happy that Bangladesh has become a force in cricket and now the matches with them will be real tough. They should be proud that they fought so hard and only lost because of inexperience. I am sure in future they will win many finals.
PS. Really angry at Hasina Wajid. She showed no sportsman spirit. She simply ran away. Imagine if we had lost.
@Salman: Salam bhai! I think you are wrong here. Would you be surprised if I tell you some of my friends cheered for Pakistan. If Pakistan were to host Asia Cup, logically there would be more Pakistani supporting their team than the spectators supporting the other team. You also should remember Bangladeshi fan crazily supported Pak during Pak-West Indies match during the world cup. Bro I tell you its the only hatred that took us far far away from each other. Love is the only pill that can unite us. Long live Pak-Ban. Salam
@Saadia: Actually the most precious thing in anyone's life is his/her life. My most precious thing in my life is my country, Bangladesh. Allah did not answer my request so that he could test my Imaan. By doing that it proves Allah loves me alot. He tests only those whom He loves. Trust me I am quite happy now. I saw my Pakistani and Bangladeshi brothers sharing this mourn with us. Its like judwa bhais. One cries and by seeing other one starts to cry too. Likewise when my Muslim brothers celebrating in the other part of the world, I too feel relieved now. It truly shattered me when Pakistan couldnt lift the world cup. I always wanted to see my brothers stay always together all the time. ONCE AGAIN PAKISTAN AND BANGLADESH JINDABAD. I also have love for India and Sri Lankan. Most important thing is we are all sub continentant. THis british divide and rule harmed us quite alot. All the best to everyone here. Masaalam!
Also Congratulation to Bangladesh team for better fighting in final.
Congratulation to Pakistan Team for winning the ACC cup. We hope it will very helpful for both team.
Stop sympathizing with Bangladesh. Didn't you saw them "booing" our players after the defeat and just like in any typical Indian ground, there used to be a silence when ever Pakistan used to hit a 4. There was NO sportsmen ship from their crowd. Those people deserved tears and I really enjoyed the agony they felt in the end...Their BCCI licking board is also NOT sending their team to Pakistan, so much for the brotherhood crap. Regarding Indians trolls here, well who cares about them...they have been kicked and beaten out in every test and odi series after the WC. Their WC wining creditability has gone to zero, enough said! Sub se phelay Pakistan, baqi sub buqwas.
@Saaim: You are right brother!
@Alam: Dear brother, i am a pakistani, while watching the last over i was not sure to pray for which team, tears in my eyes, last ball i cried. SHABASH your team played vary well.
To ALL INDIANS!!!
I would really suggest you Indians to please leave this page alone you guys smell like rotten fish who was kicked out ! Just go play your IPL and pleasure yourselves !
@JustAnotherPakistani:Thats just buying protection
@Humaira Khan: Because she is a Muslim and Muslim women are not allowed in these glamorous events
@Humaira Khan: That's such a admirable observation from you I must say! You've made very good point she did not just only she did not have the Sportswoman spirit but even the courtesy that's usually shown by the head of state wasn't there.
I have no clue why the entire media and people are going frenzy over bhai bhai Bangladesh, there wasn't any standing elevation from the crowd and as you mentioned very rightly Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena Wajid not coming to the awards ceremony just shows envy and displeasure...
Again very well pointed by yourself!
@Arjun: Your comment is a classic case of sour grapes. LOL, trying TOO hard to make a point and not making much sense.
Feel sorry for the people coming up fixing stories earlier...losing against Bangladesh and Bangladesh visiting Pakistan as a return favor!! ...what you all have to say now that we have won????? Nothing. Shame on you all for not trusting our players who bow down to Allah for any success achieved in the field but you still can't trust them! Our trust was broken but the Bangladesh players were crying too, was that part of the deal too??? Pakistanis and our conspiracy theories. We should all write fiction novels.
@Wajahat Afaq: So what will you say now?? Bangladesh players were CRYING ....was that scripted too?? where do you come up with these conspiracies all the time? Learn to appreciate sometimes too, please.
@Arjun: Smelling Sour Grapes. You post tells your mentality about cricket. If i get it right, you think you were in it just to beat Pakistan not to play and win the cup. purely pathetic and shame for cricket.
@Silwat Ameer: u dont bother about India, first defeat India then talk, everybody knows about ur team u also lost 4 - 0 to england, keep this form u will be the champions in the next world cup everybody knows about ur captian and senior players they r going to finish after that pakistan team will be below than zimbabwe and ireland
For my money Bangladesh was a better team and should have won. No need to gloat over this like the freakin Indians. Who have no shame when we all know this pitch was made for the sorry @$$Sachin so he could get his shameless record.
@zK: Well said zK. Here we are celebrating but the Indians just are seeking attention. My request to all of u is to ignore them and enjoy the glorious win!!!!!! Yeeeeeeepeeeeeeeeeee
Congrats to Pakistan and hard luck to the tigers. Bengalis actually fought like tigers and they should be very proud of what they have achieved. Beating India and Sri Lanka was not easy. You guys have become a cricket force to reckon with. Good luck next time. U have won our hearts.
I am not excited that Pakistan has won...they did not played well. They just got LUCKY. Bangladesh played extremely well and gave a tough time to Pakistan. It was their inexperience that their batsmen melted under pressure in the last two overs. The way the media is behaving is shameful. After all Pakistan lost to India. Pakistan has to do some soul searching and try to improve their performance despite winning accidentally ASIA CUP. Well Done Bangladesh... You have done great honor to your country.
Bangladesh played well. . We won by two runs. It shows we should be super prepared next time in order to win.
@Alam I am Pakistani but I wished that Bangladesh would win as they played very well and even beaten recent world cup winner India. I agree with you at end we are brothers and we celebrate the victory whether it goes to Pakistan or Bangladesh. God bless both countries!!!
Proud to be a Pakistani. Long live Pakistan.
Arjun...Dhoni and co are very fond of shopping spree, so its better for them to leave cricket because they have been knocking out of every tournament they have played during the last year and so. If India wins, they celebrate but if they loss they don't care. Your logic is full with your visceral envy and we can't do anything about that. Grapes have been sour for Indians fans for quite some time. India doesn't care on losing Asia cup then why they bother to participate in this very cup. Arjun, you're rhetoric give me a modicum that you're team has won CB series and won all the test matches against Australia. If your team only wants to beat Pakistan and nothing to with the Asia cup then it was better for India just to play an exhibition match. Your comment is just absurd and a depiction of envy and nothing else. Celebrate your 100 hundredth, while we're busy in celebrating Asia cup. And for next time urge your team to play just exhibition matches because they don't care to play in those Cups in which they are ousted. Just play in your precious IPL. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I have never heard an Australian say who cares about world cup - we have won 3 times..
One team may have won but no one lost in this match. My congrats to Bangladesh. They have arrived and won our hearts. South Asian cricket is becoming VERY competitive.
Alam, we love you too brother. Thank you for being such a gracious host.
Everyone please note there are a lot of trolls here from another country. They don't use their real names but monikers learned from their former colonial. Don't let their flame-bait spoil and corrode the brotherly sentiment and love pakistanis and bangladeshi PEOPLE have for each other.
Salaam.
Sad commentary by some people here. But never mind. Main thing is it was great cricket. Well done the tigers ( Banglash) but awesome play by the Pakistanis. Congratulations.. What a game,...
A great piece of cricket indeed!!!One should admire the brilliance by the Bangla team.Hatts Off!!!!!!!......It was an fantastic effort by them.Pakistan is a much better side and they played just like they are much better than us..Best of luck to all the Bangla Players...And Cheer up Pakistani's!! at least we got something to discuss rather than loadshedding:P!!!
congratulation Pakistan Team......well plyed Bangladesh......Indian Team plz check out you guys were thrashed out by Australia and now even weak team like West Indies is giving tough time to Kangroos. Huh ! the day is not far away when Zimbabwe and Ireland will murder you.Think about it
This was one of the best ODI you can ever get. Congrats to Pakistan for wining a thriller in the end and commiserations to Bangladesh side. They played excellent cricket through out the tournament and so as in the final but some how they cannot get over Pakistan for the last decade or so. Pakistani bowlers just proved that why they are best or one of the best bowling attacks in the world by defending a moderate total on this flat track. Early Pakistani batters looked under pressure, may be defeat against India was still haunting their not so confident minds but last over just gave them the push which was needed.Pakistani spinners were awesome once again. Bangladesh was lucky enough that they didn't lose more wickets against the trio since they had no clue against them. Shakib is good but he needs to learn how to finish the game.
P.S Being a Pakistani, I always vouch for Pakistan to win and even today for every second of a match. Its stupid to even think and wishes for other side to win involving a game against us.I dont know how can some ppl can even think about it. Thank you shaheens (Pak players) to provide us with a perfect Pakistan's Day(23rd March) gift.
Bangladesh; well played. But it's not important, who won.At the end of the day a Muslim country won. While hindoo india and buddhist srilanka lost.
@Arjun:
Oh rona band kar day yar! As omar pointed out...you got "kicked" out of the tournament and thats the end of story ! :P
I dont know why Bangladeshis were crying they should be happy because they played the game of Cricket wonderfully. By the way being a Pakistani I thought no matter if Bangladesh wins the match.
Ameen Alam
Believe me we pakistanis would not mind to lose bengladesh in final. Pak won match But Bangladesh won our hearts
The Bangladesh team deserves full marks for their effort in the series and for reaching the finals. They have become a team to recon with.
Pakistan Zindabad!!
GREAT WIN
Well played Bangladesh. You have come a long way.
Congrats Pakistan. You lifted the spirit with the gutsy fight back.
I wonder why Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena Wajid did not come to the awards ceremony even though she was in the crowd. I am sure she would have make it downstairs if Bangladesh had won. So much to the Sportswoman spirit !
Though I wanted Pakistan to win, I feel for the Bengali tigers.. they played magnificently. How far they have come in the last 2 years. Well played Bangladesh, you are an emerging Asian cricketing giant.
Congrats to pakistan a tournament win is a tournament win. Really well played Bangladesh. This was a match between Pakistan and Bangladesh I wonder why the comment section is being flooded by indian posters? Talk about obsession.
@Omar:
Knocked out by whom not by PK
@Alam This is a game of cricket. One losses one wins, this game is not worthy enough to give away most precious thing in your life. Bangla will win in future, these things happen.
We could have won the match if it wasn't for the 19 runs gifted away Shahadat. I don't blame him though since it was a first time for us under such pressure cooker scenario in front of the home crowd. We have showed the world that we are improving and will inshallah will reach PAK,IND and SL level very soon. Congratulations to the PAK team for pulling off another thrilling win.
I have to tell you Pakistanis something...
Umar Gul, for some reason lifts my spirits. He's like the only pure soul in the corrupt world of cricket.
There's something infectious and honest about his smile and achievements. I really really hope that he never gets into the trap of fixing a spot of a match. I really hope that he remains honest and humble as always. I have never seen dishonest or loathable (like in case of Kohis's) aggression in him.
Hope he remains clean for ever and be a beacon of inspiration. Love you Umar Gul. Please remain clean. I'm an Indian.
welldone cheema for tight bowlling in the last over .feeling sad for bangladesh
@Arjun: not much indian team can do because they have been KNOCKED OUT!! END OF!!
I can't help my tears. I asked Allah to take away the most precious thing in my life and in return make Bangladesh the winner. However, the prayer was not answered. It was a great from both sides.Anyway, I am not unhappy because my Muslim brothers in Pakistan is enjoying. Love you all! May Bangladesh and Pakistan stay always as brothers. Long live Pakistan and Bangladesh. My Pakistani brothers plz pray for us too. I always pray for you!
CONGRATULATION TO PAKISTANI TEAM.
A WINNER NEVER STOPS TRYING.....
Congrats to Pakistan
Who cares about Asia cup, India won more than 5 times. I believe team India should have taken 3-4 months off after great world cup victory. India beat Pakistan that's good enough. Team-India is very tired with injuries. I happy to watch IPL glitters now. Katie Perry is on the way to India.
I like this quote of Virat Kohli on NDTV
NDTV: " how are you enjoying your success"; Kohli: " there is not much we can do in Bangladesh"
Pakistanis needed such victory badly. Its a travesty that a nation with extreme passion for cricket does not witness a home show.
Not to mention our Bengali Muslim brothers are not available for any help.
Very well played Bangladesh! Congratulations Pakistan :)
Awesome match both teams played great!
Have you noticed the Bangladesh team never invokes "Allah" in their post match comments? Do we always have to be the most piously, hypocritical people on earth?
@lashari baloch: sorry to you....
Fantastic match.. I supported Pakistan but at that last ball I really wanted Bangladesh to hit four.
hahahahahaha
what abt conspiracies? Do they still believe that the match was fixed?
CONGRATULATIONS PAKISTAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We WON
Congratulation to Mr President, Prime minister & PPP
Good job!
Congrats Pakistan ............ and sorry to disappoint the match fixing believers the match was not fixed
Pakistan prevails in dramatic final. Amazing Amazing Match... What a Nail Biter.
So Now there's another Force in the Continent to recon with.
Cricket has become so fake!
Being a Pakistani... I sincerely wished Bangladesh should've won the match. They played better than us. They deserved and needed this victory more than us. Well played tigers..!!!! Salute from Pakistan.!!
CONGRATS PAKISTAN!!! DIL DIL PAKISTAN JAN JAN PAKISTAN !!! Its a good day! Well played Bangladesh!
Yeh Cheez....:)
*though i support pakistan but this time we and my father wanted bangladesh to be won *
sad news. . .!!!! captain tuk tuk regain his place in the team . .???
Well done Pakistan. Last over was very tense. Both played very well.
@antony: So wat were u saying about conspiracy!!!! Pak won..... U losers
kid's play, well done. but waiting for the real one -IPL
Brilliant play by Bangladesh .. although we should support Pakistan but It would be classic if Bangladesh wins this tournament as they need it more than any one else in the tournament. Hopefully they can maintain their aggressive batting against other non Asian teams as well.
Hahahahahahahaha@JJ:
@antony: You should be watching the live hockey match on neo:):) Pak will win inshallah!!!!!
Pakistanis have already prepared their mind to believe a conspiracy theory which is to lose to bangladesh today in return for their gracing pakistani ground for later friendly matches.. Why Pakistanis dont trust their cricketers who show they are ultra sincere by kneeling on the ground to pray in the pitch after scoring hundred or before the match or after the match..
After they win, Bangladesh will have even less reason to visit. But that's not my point. Why can't we give credit to BD for ots performance omsteaf of thinking of 'deals'?
@Vaqar he is right you got to give something to get something. After we will allow them to Win Asia Cup they will come to play in Pakistan to restart International Cricket in our country.
@ Wajahat.
As a Pakistani, I am amazed that you are insulting Bangladesh's brilliance throughout the tournament.
Mashah Allah, your muslims brothers from the East Pakistan are winning and bringing a great name to the great Ummah!!!!
Go Pakistan---teach them some cricket!
lol 70 for 4 in 22 overs lmao Pakistan team showing their colours
The final stage set for Bangladesh first ever win of a ICC official big tournament, Pakistan was the first team who gave chance to Bangladesh in Test arena, i think history will repeat again today, this sacrifice may open gate of Pakistani stadiums and hopefully Bengal Team will visit soon to Pakistan, this is not a cricket its scripted.
BANGLADESH will win "ASIA CUP.FINAL"
