Rohrabacher asks Radio Free Asia to broadcast in Balochistan
According to a press release issued by his office, Representative Rohrabacher wrote a letter to Radio Free Asia’s president, saying that the Baloch people would be “receptive to RFA broadcasts in their own language and the increased exposure to accurate and objective news would no doubt be to our and their great benefit.”
Rohrabacher, who is also Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee for Oversight and Investigations, told the RFA, “While the government and intelligence services in Pakistan act against the interests of the United States, I believe America can find common ground with the people of South Asia.”
The letter further states: “The central government of Pakistan, despite the billions of dollars in aid that the US government has provided, has not acted in good faith with America, targets Americans for murder and has purposefully moved closer to their main ally, Communist China. Because of these factors, America’s strategic calculus regarding Pakistan is changing.”
He added that the government of Pakistan is repressing the Baloch people, and that the Balochi nation has a right to self-determination.
Radio Free Asia, according to their website, is “a private, nonprofit corporation that broadcasts news and information in nine native Asian languages to listeners who do not have access to full and free news media. The purpose of RFA is to provide a forum for a variety of opinions and voices from within these Asian countries.”
In February, Rohrabacher had chaired a hearing on human rights abuses in Balochistan. He also introduced a House Concurrent Resolution, asking for the Baloch people to be given the right to self-determination. The Republican congressman from California had earlier introduced bills asking for Dr Shakil Afridi to be given US citizenship and the Congressional Gold Medal, and has called on President Obama to intervene in the case.

It is right time that Balochi programme from RADIO FREE ASIA must be given its' due shares as all other Asian languages. There are nearly 40millions Balochs living in Balochistan, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Turkmanistan, and many African Countries & Europe. It is really unjust that they may be neglected by Radio Free Asia. In our opinion millions of Baloch could be brought into line and could be informed about what is happening in and around World. To deprive the Baloch nation from such a source of information could and should never be justified. As such we thank Rev. Dana Rohrabacher for his demand and initiative for giving Balochi language programme from Radio Free Asia. As for as providing necessary Staff for such a programme we are prepared to provide all competent persons to run the same at the earliest. Balochjk

All this is a fasade created by the Indian lobby against Pakistan and the senator has been brain washed by the Indian mind control aggresive lobby. There have been reports that Indian/RAW has been involved in killing in Balochistan to destabalize Pakistan. And the senseless Pakistani leadership wants to give business concessions to India. If a nation comes on seeking independence and also gets the support of a superpower, then sooner or later, she becomes liberated. East-Timor, Bosnia , Kosov, Libya, Syria, Sudan and many other example around the globe are good examples to look at. Baluch are determined to win thier freedom and signals of support are coming from a superpower. More importantly, regional and global conditions are also conducive to thier struggle. International intervention in sovereign countries on the issue of human rights has become a norm of customary international law and Pakistan has also acknowledged this rule by voting in favor of Security Council resolution with regard to military intervention in Syria. So sooner or later, the issue of human rights abuses in Baluchistan will find its way into the agend of UN security council.
Finally i would like to thank Mr Rohrabacher for his positiveness on Baloch issue, We desperately need a voice in the west to let the world know what is happening inside Balochistan. Pakistani media is biased and there is no freedom of expression or press in Pakistan, we have made a progress and we shall take our case to the international community & organization with the help of people like Mr Dana Rohrabacher, He has become a hero inside Balochistan.

I think they should better concentrate on giving rights to blacks. Pakistan should put a resolution in UN for a separate black country created by breaking USA and stop racist abuses against them. The oppressed blacks also have a right to self determination.
