Three militants killed, two security personnel injured in Kurram Agency clashes

Officials confirm casualties, add that eight militants had also been injured.

KURRAM AGENCY: At least three militants were killed and eight injured in Central Kurram Agency clashes on Wednesday.Two security personnel were also injured, officials said.

The clashes erupted in the Jogi area, where security forces have been consistently attacked in the past also.

According to official sources, three militants were killed and eight others injured, while the two injured security personnel were later shifted to the hospital.

An operation had been underway in the area for the past two months, with security forces claiming to be on the verge of wresting control of the region.

Hundreds of families have vacated the area.
