Car lifting: Gang of six busted

A team under SHO Bukhari succeeded in arresting six persons including four Afghans.

ISLAMABAD: The Koral police busted a gang of car thieves including Afghan nationals on Wednesday, a police spokesman said. SP Faisal Bashir Memon assigned DSP Malik Tahir Mehmud and SHO Sajjad Bukhari to arrest car thieves who were active in the jurisdiction of the Koral police. A team under SHO Bukhari succeeded in arresting six persons including four Afghans. The nabbed persons were identified as Afghans Adnan, Shah Wali, Nurul Rehman and Jan Agha and Irshad of Dhok Syedan Rawalpindi and Mardan Ali from Bagh. They confessed to lifting cars from PWD Colony, Korang Town. Meanwhile, Sabzi Mandi police apprehended five suspects and Aabpara police nabbed two suspects during search operation in their respective areas.
