LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday adjourned, till March 29, arguments on a writ petition challenging the acceptance of Babar Awan’s nomination papers for Senate elections. The case was adjourned after Advocate AK Dogar, amicus curiae, completed his arguments on Wednesday. The court directed the other amicus curiae, Advocate Ali Zafar, to appear before the court on the next hearing. Petitioner-lawyer Shahid Jami has submitted that Awan was a tax defaulter and so his nomination papers should not have been accepted.
