Friendship and creativity took centre stage in the annual parents’ day of Fountainhead School that was held at the Pakistan National Council for the Arts auditorium here on Monday.
At the event, pre-school and primary school children were dressed up in adorable costumes to perform “World Under the Sea”. The cast included young children dressed as various animals.
Senior students acted out their interpretations of the “Harry Potter” series of books along with classic “Lord of the Flies” and “Cinderella”.
Though most performances were in English, the lone Urdu skit “Awam Dost Media” about various TV news channels showing live coverage of a pedestrian’s untimely fall on a banana peel, stole the show. The performances were sensibly humorous, insightful and tongue-in-cheek.
O-level student Shamsher Niaz Rana from the Islamabad branch closed the performance with an a cappella performance of the national anthem.
