Raza said in the assembly that she was responsible for the assembly’s workings as its custodian and apologised to the staff, particularly those who work on the control box.
The operators of the control box – a basic console for switching the microphones of MPAs on – were reportedly harassed by MQM legislators on Friday as they asked them to switch their microphones on.
Haroon questioned why the staff had even complained, “because as MPAs it is our right to ask for our microphones to be switched on”.
He also questioned why Raza had cited the behaviour of the MQM MPAs as a reason for adjourning last Friday’s session, saying she should not have named a political party.
The MQM MPAs supported Haroon by chanting ‘shame, shame’, while Raza said that she was apologising because it was the right thing to do and there can be no debate on a speaker’s ruling.
She also said that there have been several rulings in the assembly’s history that have named political parties.

If Wadera's believe they can control by slapping or showing number of private guard's or car they are on the wrong side of Karachi road. The mikes can be replace but the voices will heard all over again and again!
Sindh assembly is situated in KARACHI . The waderas MUST learn to behave . If our legitimate demands are not to be heard of , mikes would be broken again and this wont be confined to the Mikes only ................. @ mehran .
@ Mehran... journalists love their life that is why they are reluctant to expose the terror of these jugglers. This juggler party is threatening media managers to function under her vested interests. Moreover, juggler party is also harassing cable operators to stop transmission of particular media channels who are exposing their wicked motives.
Thugs on the streets. And now thuggery in the parliament
Same old pathetic bunch of goons, can't be expected to act like civilized leaders. Nothing new here.
It's nothing but " Circus " someone is playing foul by switching off mikes of their critics and others responding in equally frantic and uncivilized style...................
What.....???? You do all hue and cry and you break mikes and push MPS with violent behavior and again you want speaker to apologize for naming you as the responsible party??? This is insane and where on earth does it happen man...give us a break. Whole world watched on TV, what ever you did but you again ask apology from Speaker instead. Such intolerant and violent manifestation are enough to expose you around the globe.
What message MQM is sending to common people by breaking the mikes of MPAs, and arm twisting ?? Protest is right of every one but the violent and intolerant manifestation within the premise of Assembly is not at all graceful act and every sane and educated person MUST condemn it. If it had been done by any PPP or PMLN assembly members, media might have created lots of parodies, and have repeated this shameful incident again and again in their telecast. But where is free media this time? Wish they show some courage to project fair Journalism and reject fear mongering groups.
