Boxing: Lewis predicts wins for Khan, Froch

LONDON: Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis predicted that English boxers Amir Khan and Carl Froch needed just one chance to recover their world titles. Khan has a May 19 rematch for the IBF and WBA light-welterweight belts against Lamont Peterson, whereas Froch – who lost his WBC title to American Andre Ward in December – meets Lucian Bute a week later with the IBF super-middleweight title on the line. “I think we have some great fighters in Britain who will do well this year,” said Lewis. “I believe both Khan and Froch will win back their world titles.” Nathan Cleverly and Ricky Burns are Britain’s current world champions.
