Gilgit Gang Rape: Three men remanded in police custody
Police arrested the men and the victims from the Juglot area on a tip-off.

A court in Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday remanded three men in police custody for allegedly gang raping two sisters who had reportedly run away from their home two days earlier. The three men and the victims were produced before the civil court in Gilgit on Saturday, sources said.
Police arrested the men and the victims from the Juglot area on a tip-off. The sisters had reportedly fled their home two days back and their parents had lodged a complaint with the local police. However, it was not clear whether they ran away from their home or were kidnapped.
The sisters are in their early 20s and belong to Chatorkhan village of Ghizer Valley. According to sources, the civil court turned down a police plea for keeping the sisters in custody and recorded their statements. However, a five-day physical remand for the men was granted.
