Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is spending his free time composing music reported IANS.
“I have been busy with music. And once it starts it’s a different world. Singing, composing, arranging and providing instrumentation all by myself can be arduous, but so fulfilling,” tweeted Bachchan. The 69-year-old has been off work for sometime after undergoing abdominal surgery last month. Although the actor says he is recovering well, he is still in pain. “All is well, but had to miss gym! I hate it when that happens,” he said.
Bachchan, who underwent an abdominal surgery about a month ago, came out for the first time to greet fans gathered outside his residence last Sunday. Dressed in a white kurta, pajama and a shawl, the actor looked to be in good spirits and thanked his fans for their well wishes.
“God bless the well wishers. God bless them for their permanence in my life. God bless their consistency, their love and enthusiasm. I am indebted for life. It is a debt I shall never be able to repay; the one burden that shall remain with me unattended. One burden that shall make me happy,” Bachchan wrote on his blog.
The actor, who has had a history of stomach ailments since his intestinal injury on the sets of 1982 film Coolie, was admitted to the Seven Hills hospital and underwent an abdominal surgery on February 11. He is currently recuperating at home.
Awards in absentia
While Big B is still recovering, he received the D Lit degree ‘in absentia’ at the 94th convocation function of Banaras Hindu University. But that’s not it for the esteemed actor. Director Shoojit Sircar is putting together a documentary on Bachchan, which he says reveals another side to the megastar. The film is based on the extensive tours of Gujarat that the director undertook with Big B, the brand ambassador of the state while shooting 14 films promoting the tourism.
