Athletics: Bolt to kick-start season in May

KINGSTON: Olympic champion Usain Bolt will officially open his season at the Jamaica International Invitational Meet on May 5. Bolt’s appearance was announced at a press conference to promote the meet, set for the national stadium.”It’s always a great privilege to run in front of my home fans,” said Bolt. “There’s always great energy and excitement in the stadium and I will look to put on a good show for the fans. This will be my first big meet of 2012 as I prepare to defend my titles in the Olympic Games in London in August.”
