President Zardari is due to address the joint session which is going to be held on Saturday at 1.30pm. This will be the first time an elected President will be addressing the fifth consecutive joint session of the Assembly.
The PML-N had followed a similar strategy last year.
It was not clear that whether the PML-N will support the MQM who had announced its decision to boycott the President’s speech. The MQM later rescinded its decision.
Zardari last year addressed the fourth joint session, on which PML-N’s Nisar Ali Khan tried to speak on point of order but was not allowed to speak. The party, after creating some noise in the house, boycotted the joint session.

Even though most people dislike zardari. How is thumping desks going to do anything. Just listen to the speech and go home. Where are your energies when the parliament is actually doing its work?
Just to show masses that they are opposition party otherwise it is PMLN who is supporting PPP right from the beginning.
Asif zardari is unbelievable politician. Media ,Army, and judges tried their best to finish ppp's government, but could not.He is not a best president of Pakistan, but he has defeated everybody in Pakistan. If nawaz sharif learn something from him, this will be good for him.
PML Nawaz should respect the president, he deserves to be respected, any opposition should be carried out in a decent way, But I wonder if Zardari is such a bad man why pml dont leave Punjab government. Some people never learn from history Nawaz Shareef is one of those
So much for being signatory to the charter of Democracy!
Mr. Nawaz Sharif! please cut the crap out. Do you really think, cheap stunts would make you "real opposition"?
MQM is only good for rescinding its decisions - its at best laughable.
And the Noora Kushti continues! Just another episode of it.... Such a shame! It really is...
PML should have opposed PPP in last four years. I think this will not help them in election year. This is just a political ploy. PML get mature and now accept your no-role during last four years.
No wonder at all, this is a fixed match. A win win situation for PPP and PMLN. PMLN supporter base strongly hates Zardari, by creating hurdles to the speech of President AZ, PMLN will show that they resist AZ. That will pacify anti Zardari voters. On the other hand, the harsh and unethical voice vy PMLN will give a reason to PPP to bash PMLN as anti democratic and intolerant, while Pro-PPP base will feel sympathy and attachement towards AZ, after seeing rough attitude of PMLN. That's called a win win strategy.
oohh NO again this drama. drama league!!!
To correct Tribune, behaving democratically wouldn't spoil Zardari's historic moment or his mood. Also, when the PML-N tried to do the same last year Zardari started condeming the burning of Holy Quran incident and the opposition had to shut up. Zardari is one step ahead of the baldy bros!
OMG........PML-N has shown to be a TRUE opposition by thumping desks during the speech,
first off thumping the the desk would lead to any progress for a common man, or even for the politician
second, no matter how much you dislike him, he is still your president and that office requires respect, if you disagree with the president then remove him but respect him when he comes to the Parliament in official capacity.
