Murder: Newlywed girl shot dead

HARIPUR: A newlywed girl was shot dead on the fourth day of her marriage in a remote village of Abbottabad district on Thursday evening. The motive behind the cold-blooded murder is stated to be revenge by a rejected suitor. According to the police, Fauzia Bibi, 16, was married to Shafiq Abbasi on Sunday. However, her first cousin Asif was unhappy over the marriage, since he wanted to marry Fauzia. On Thursday evening, Asif allegedly entered the girl’s parents’ house and shot her dead with a 30-bore pistol.
