Orient laboratories: Physical remand of owners extended

Orient Laboratories factory collapsed owing to owners negligence killing 26 people.

LAHORE: Judicial Magistrate Shahid Hassan Mughal on Thursday extended physical remand of three accused owners of Orient Laboratories to eight days for their alleged involvement in killing 26 people, after their factory collapsed owing to negligence. CIA police sought eight days physical remand on the plea that police had to recover the record of those who lost their lives in building collapse. The counsel for the accused prayed the court to send his clients on judicial remand, contending that the police have as yet recovered nothing. Upon hearing this, the judge awarded four, two day physical remands of the accused.
