Golf: Pakistan struggle in Faldo Series
None of the country’s four representatives managed to finish among the top-five after the first round.
KARACHI:
Pakistan’s golfers struggled on the opening day of the sixth Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at the Mission Hills in Schenzhen, China. None of the country’s four representatives managed to finish among the top-five after the first round of the three-day contest. Upcoming golfer Mubariz Ahmed finished the day in 12th position with a score of 11-over par 83 in the under-16 category. Sameer Merchant ended the first round on eighth position with a card of 78 in the U18 event, while Ghufran Ahmed posted a score of 79 to secure sixth position in the U21 category. Kashfa Zafa, the only girl representing Pakistan, finished in 14th position with a disappointing card of 34-over par 106.
