QUETTA: The Baloch Republican Party (BRP) has alleged that security forces have launched a massive ‘siege and search’ operation in different parts of Dera Bugti during which several innocent people had been killed and many had been arrested.

According to a spokesperson for BRP Sher Mohammad Bugti, several innocent people had been killed and many had been apprehended during the operation. Security forces, the Bugti dominated BRP said, had raided houses in Pishani, Buzkushi, Kelri, Seya Tak, Khadeli and Maro area of Dera Bugti.

“Security personnel have violated the sanctity of homes and harassed elders of the families. They also set standing crops on fire,” he alleged. He said many people in large number had been forced to migrate to safer places to escape highhandedness of security forces.

The BRP spokesman demanded Human Rights Organisations and International Community to take notice of human rights violations in the restive Dera Bugti.

However, there have been no confirmations by officials about any operation in Dera Bugti.

Security forces on several occasions contradicted statements of BRP, saying there was no operation going on in any part of Balochistan.

I hope international community will take an active role in coming days to liberate the oppressed Balochi brothers and sisters from tyrannical rule of Pakistani military industrial complex. Balochi people are treated less than humans and their wealth is systematically plundered with the help of Chinese.
