10 die as rains hit Larkana, Kandhkot

KANDHKOT/LARKANA: Ten people have died in separate incidents of roof collapse and electrocution in Kandhkot and Larkana as rains continue to lash the province.

Three men and a child lost their lives in separate incidents of collapsed roofs near Guddu Pul in Kandhkot. The victims were identified as Nadir Muhamdani, Ali Sheikh Sundrani, Hanif Meerani and six-year-old Riaz Ahmed.

The situation is likely to worsen as the floods are also expected to hit the district.

Six people have lost their lives due to electrocution and roof collapses in Larkana and Naudero city. Pyaro Khan Lund died from electrocution.

In another incident, a 10-year-old boy, Abdul Basit, lost his life as the roof of his house in Village Arzi Bhutto collapsed. Three other people, including a woman, were also injured.

In the Allahabad area of Larkana, Faqir Khair Muhammad was buried under a wall as it collapsed in the rain while in the Lahori Muhalla, Ramzan Sheikh died as the roof of his house collapsed. Abdul Karim died in another incident caused by rain in Naudero city.

A seven-year-old girl, Mehak, also lost her life in Yar Muhammad Colony in Larkana.

samina | 13 years ago | Reply When Bhutto/Zardari cannot look after their own people in Larkana, What do the people of Pakistan expect from them? Instead of killing each other, our people should help each other and throw the leaders in the Arabian Sea.
